The National University of Singapore Society (NUSS) Choir was formed in 1998 with an aim to bring together members who share a passion for singing. The choir has come a long way since its establishment and has blossomed into the 50-strong choir today.
The Choir has made several notable achievements which include attaining Gold and Silver standards at international choral festivals held in Taiwan, Thailand, Hong Kong and Malaysia. The choir was presented with the Golden Voices Award twice in the Asia Cantate (Thailand and Hong Kong) as well as The Friendship Award at the Voices of Asia (Malaysia) music festivals. In addition, the choir was presented with Most Inspiring Choir Award at A Voyage of Songs International Choral Festival in Taiwan in 2017 for being the choir with the most positive attitude that inspires other choirs to lifelong singing.
Recently on 19 Mar 2022, the choir performed at a small concert entitled To Life We Sing at the newly renovated NUSS Della & Seng Gee Guild Hall. Locally, the choir has been active in performing for the Voices of Singapore Festivals, (2018-2020), National Choral Convention at Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music (2019), Vox Camerata’s concert at Victoria Concert Hall (2019), Ode to Joy Virtual Choir Campaign organised by the German Embassy and National Arts Council to celebrate Ludwig van Beethoven’s 250th birthday anniversary (2020) and Silver Arts Festival 2021 themed “TENacity” to commemorate its 10th anniversary.
This year the choir looks forward to holding
its annual concert at Victoria Concert Hall on 13 November after a break of two years due to COVID-19 safe management measures.
新加坡国立大学学会 (NUSS) 合唱团成立于 1998 年，合唱团的宗旨是把热爱歌唱的团员聚集起来引吭高歌。自成立以来合唱团走过了漫长的道路，逐渐发展成为今天颇具规模拥有50名团员的合唱团。
过去几年合唱团取得多项显著成就，包括在台湾、泰国、香港和马来西亚举行的国际合唱节赢得金银奖牌。合唱团分别在泰国和香港举行的亚洲歌唱大赛赢得金嗓子奖，并在马来西亚举行的《亚洲之声》音乐节获得友谊奖。此外，合唱团也在 2017年，在台湾举行的国际合唱节获得最鼓舞人心的合唱团奖，以奖励合唱团在推动终生歌唱，激励更多合唱团参与歌唱活动方面所作出的努力。
2022 年 3 月 19 日，合唱团在重新装修，焕然一新的新加坡国立大学学会礼堂（ NUSS Della & Seng Gee Guild Hall ）举办了一场名为《为生活歌唱》（ To Life We Sing） 的小型音乐会。此外，合唱团也积极参与本地歌唱活动，包括2018到2020年举行的新加坡之声音乐节、2019年杨秀桃音乐学院举办的全国合唱大会、2019年Vox Camerata 在维多利亚音乐厅的音乐会、2020年由德国大使馆和国家艺术理事会为庆祝音乐大师贝多芬诞辰 250 周年而主办的虚拟合唱活动《欢乐颂》和 2021 年为纪念乐龄艺术节成立 10 周年主办以《坚韧不拔》为主题的合唱活动。
在冠病疫情影响下停摆两年后，合唱团重新出发，将在今年 11 月 13 日在维多利亚音乐厅再度举行年度音乐会，敬请期待！
Adyll Hardy
Music Director
Adyll honed his musicianship and singing in numerous award-winning choirs such as the National University of Singapore (NUS) Choir and SYC Ensemble Singers. His craft is deeply rooted in the Kodaly philosophy of music. Under the tutelage of his vocal teacher Thomas Kuek, Adyll achieved a distinction in ATCL Recital in Singing as well as an Advanced Performance Certificate from Trinity College London. Most recently in 2018, he completed his LTCL in Singing. He attained a Diploma in Conducting and ALCM in Conducting from London College of Music in 2013 and 2015 respectively.
Adyll received the Tan Ean Kiam Arts award from NUS Centre for the Arts in 2012, which honours individuals who have contributed significantly to the arts community as alumni of NUS. As Music Director of the National University of Singapore Society (NUSS) Choir since 2013, he has worked with the choir to attain gold and silver awards and the Golden Voices Award at various international choir festivals in Hong Kong and Taiwan from 2014-2017.
Adyll also directs The Graduate Singers (TGS), a semi-professional choral ensemble, which was founded in 2010. In 2017, Adyll led TGS to win 2 Golds in the 5 th Vietnam International Competition and emerged as Champions for the Chamber Category. The choir participated in the World Choir Games held in South Africa in 2018.
阿迪尔（Adyll）是因为参加了频频获奖的新加坡国立大学 (NUS) 合唱团和 SYC 合唱组合，音乐素养和歌唱技艺都获得提升。 他的歌唱技艺深受匈牙利作曲家柯达伊（Kodaly）音乐哲学的影响。 在声乐老师Thomas Kuek的指导下, 阿迪尔在 ATCL独唱中以卓越成绩考获文凭，同时荣获伦敦三一学院高级表演证书。在2018 年，他完成了LTCL的歌唱。在2013 和 2015 年，他分别获得伦敦音乐学院颁发的指挥文凭和ALCM指挥文凭。
2012年，阿迪尔荣获新加坡国立大学艺术中心中心颁发的 Tan Ean Kiam 艺术奖，以表彰他身为国大毕业生在音乐领域作出的贡献。
自2013年起，阿迪尔担任新加坡国立大学学会合唱团指挥。2014至2017年，阿迪尔带领合唱团参与香港和台湾的多项国际合唱节比赛，夺得了金牌、银牌以及金声奖等奖项。
Aditya Santoso
Accompanist
Aditya has cultivated his musical interest since young. Ever since taking piano lesson from the age of six, he has also been an avid chorister, arranger, accompanist, assistant conductor, and chorus master with various local choirs.
Aditya obtained his Bachelor in Computing from National University of Singapore (1st-class honours) and completed his LTCL in Piano Performance with Distinction in 2012.
周肃烽（Aditya Santoso）从小就培养了对音乐的兴趣。 他六岁开始学钢琴，也热衷于合唱、编曲、伴奏、助理指挥和在本地好几个合唱团担任合唱指导。
周肃烽荣获新加坡国立大学计算机科学荣誉学位（一等荣誉）。在2012 年，他以卓越的成绩完成了 LTCL 钢琴演奏
